Welcome to this weeks Beardie Blog!
Beardie has had quite a busy week this week. I had a day off work on Thursday to help my friends Benj and Toni to move house. I’m sure they’ll be really happy in their new home, just as soon as they’ve unpacked.
The fundraising has taken a good turn, thanks to a very generous donation from Stash. Don’t be shy - you can easily chip in by clicking here.
Here’s the current mug shot:

Hello, and welcome along to this instalment of Beardie Weirdie.
I have decided to ditch the “number of days” title for my blog posting. Frankly it’s not very interesting, and I’ve lost count. Even with my shoes and socks off, I can only count up to 20, so it’s a lost cause.
Here’s my current look. Taken on Thursday evening at 19.15.

I stumbled across this today. 10 Very Good Reasons Why You Should Grow a Giant Beard. I wish I could take credit for making something this funny!
I was wondering what to blog about today, and posed a question on Facebook. My friend Ysanne “Custard Creams vs Chocolate Hob Nobs”. A tough question, but please vote in my poll!
Favourite Biscuit?
- Chocolate Hob Nob (75.0%, 12 Votes)
- Custard Cream (25.0%, 4 Votes)

Well, it’s been a quiet week in Beardie Weirdie land. January is a funny old month. Being dark, cold, and post Christmas the excitement has gone, and the next round seems a long way off. But hey, at least it’s Friday!
The beard is definitely growing, as you can kind of see below:

Side Scruff
Moving on to this weeks “Beard Of The Week”, the people (i.e. Dan) spoke, and Chuck Norris is this weeks selection.

So far so good on the not shaving front! Starting to edge towards a decent scruff. My neck is getting quite itchy. I’m hoping that this pass as the hair gets longer and softens. My hair is growing at a fair old rate too, so in a couple more weeks I’ll have to decide whether to buzz it off, or let it grow out.

Scruff growing :)
Have picked up a couple more donations this week - big shout out to Dan and Leah! Your hard earned will be greatly appreciated.

Hoodie - has been cold for a baldie this week
Moving on to this weeks “Beard of the Week” - Professor Albus Dumbledore. Now I’m not a big fan of Harry Potter, but there’s no denying that he does have a pretty cool beard!

Well, I haven’t shaved yet in 2009, but then I guess that would apply to a lot of blokes on an extended Christmas break!
No more than a little stubble yet, but I’m sure as the year progresses, so will my beardiness. As you can see below, not much happening in 2 days:
