Salisbury Steak Day 2 comments

Hello children, and welcome to this weeks Beardie Weirdie blog.

This week has seen the birthday of my lovely wife, Sam, who turned 21 again on Tuesday.  Unfortunately, it’s been another quiet week on the donations front, but as pay day is approaching, fingers crossed there will be more news on the fund raising front next week.

Here’s this weeks mugshot.  I should really the wax out or try to plait it, perhaps how next week’s half way special.  I’ve gone for an artsy black and white shot today.

Moving onto this weeks Beard of the Week, I have chosen Isaac Hayes.  Known by many as Chef from South Park, but his soul music career should not be overlooked.

More next week.  It’s good bye from me!

Hello there Beard Fans, and welcome along to this weeks Beardie Weirdie Blog!

Well, it’s been a quiet week on the beard front.  No additional pennies in the pot this week - I guess we’re in the usual mid-month lull.

The beard is still growing.  I think I have forgotten what it’s like to not have a beard and I have definitely forgotten how to shave.  Not that I miss it!  Curiously, my moustache does see to have slowed down growing though.  I assumed that it would all grow at the same rate, but I am pleased that is isn’t - my moustache would be down to the bottom of my chin by now!

Today’s photograph of me was taken by me on Thursday evening on my sofa:

This weeks Beard of the Week is the youngest beardie yet - my 7 year old son, Ewan.  He was treading the boards this week in a school performance, playing the part of Mr McGregor from Beatrix Potter’s Peter Rabbit books.  Luckily Ewan doesn’t actually have to wear glasses, he’s wearing a pair of my old ones with the lenses popped out.

More next week - I’m rapidly approaching the half way mark, I suppose I ought to think up something special!

Hello there Beardless Buddies, and welcome to this weeks blog!

News from beard land this week - our cat Pepper has delivered 5 healthy baby kittens!  To honour this momentous occasion, I have prepared a world exclusive - a beard made of kittens!

A big thank you to Emma Bygrave for this weeks donation.  I’ve never actually met Emma.  Her donation was made today following a brief email exchange, and she must of clicked on to the website from my signature.  I guess she agrees that the Pasque Charity is a good cause!

Well, last weeks photographs of my haircut caused quite a stir.  I’ve had comments coming in via emails, texts, and comments on Facebook.  You can all breathe a sigh of relief that the photo’s were purely taken for fun, and I haven’t looked like a bowl cut monk for the week.  Here’s the beard in all of its 163 days of glory:

Last but by no means least, this weeks Beard of the Week was suggested via Facebook a few weeks ago by my friend Glenda, and requires no introduction.

Hi Beard Lovers :)

Well, another milestone this week!  I’ve reached the half way mark on the fund raising!  And on the plus side, only 42% through the year.  Now, the quandary at the 6 month marker will be whether or not to double up the target………….?  Many thanks to this week’s donors, Chris, Hollie & Rich, and my Mum, Rose.

Another momentous event this week - my Tuesday night visit to my mate Dan’s involved a haircut this week.

Now I said at the start of this year long bearded adventure, that I wouldn’t shave below the top of the ear.  Dan has, unfortunately, held me to this!

Dan even gave me a wicked Dumb and Dumber fringe!

You’ll notice that I am not wearing my glasses in these photo’s.  I’ve been wearing glasses since about 10 years old, so these are probably the only 3 photo’s taken of me in the last 20 odd years without the specs.

Moving on then, this weeks “Beard of the Week” is Henry VIII.  This very special Henry VIII is actually my mate Seb.  He’s a talented magician, a member of the Magic Circle, and is available for weddings as well as corporate events and parties.  I can honestly say from first hand experience that he is very, very good, and all the better for having “bearded up”.
